Day by day You prove faithful

And set a sufficient table.

Whatever we need, You will be,

And Your Word is our lifeline to breathe.

Through foggy questions and heavy haze,

You keep lovingly lifting our gaze

Upward that we may somehow see

Your perspective, giving light and setting us free

from fear of trial and fear of man,

teaching us how to rest, how to trust Your hand . . .

As You gently, lavishly let us know

The comfort and calm of Your wing’s shadow.

And if this side of Forever the storms never cease,

please keep holding us close and granting Your peace.

With Yourself, please continually fill us;

From ourselves, please continually free us.

Though we should not be surprised by the darkness,

You never cease to surprise with Your abundance.

Indeed, day by day You prove faithful.
